Team Leader West Africa

REPSOL YPF, one of Spain’s largest companies, is involved in all aspects of the energy business and is aggressively expanding its exploration and production division.

Specific Position Responsibilities:
- She or he will be conversant with full cycle prospect evaluation including strong background in G&G and risk and volumetric assessment
- Candidate must have proven experience in farm out, round evaluations and comply short deadlines
- Coordinate and work within a multi-disciplinary team to identify, bring and evaluate opportunities
- Coordinate / lead opportunity evaluation, including full project evaluation expertise (2D & 3D seismic) integrating subsurface and economic data to provide sound recommendations to management
- Present to management, partners, and host government officials opportunities / company credentials

Required Skills / Experience:
- Geosciences degree
- At least 10 years of international experience in the oil industry with a strong knowledge in Geosciences with International Oil Companies
- The successful candidate will be capable of working independently, while being an excellent team player
- Fluent in English spoken and written is required
- The position is based in Madrid, but frequent travelling is to be expected
